Mrs. Serafina Bete, Coordinator of the Christian Tuna Daksa Association (Persani) NTT told how the obstacles to access to vaccines were for people with disabilities. In the city of Kupang alone, where the facilities are good, there are still many obstacles.

The COVID-19 vaccination program in Indonesia continues to run, with the target being completed before the end of this year. There are some who do not want to do it, but the majority accept and welcome vaccination for the community.

There are groups of people who, even though they want to be vaccinated, have big obstacles in accessing health facilities so it is not easy to receive vaccines. One of them is the disabled group. They find it difficult because of transportation factors or the absence of supporting facilities, for example for the blind, quadriplegic, or deaf.

Mrs. Serafina Bete, Coordinator of the Christian Tuna Daksa Association (Persani) NTT told how the obstacles to access to vaccines were for people with disabilities. In the city of Kupang alone, where the facilities are good, there are still many obstacles. In rural areas or inland, of course the problem is even more. Conditions in Kupang also illustrate and represent most areas in Indonesia. In addition, hoaxes still overshadow the vaccination program for the disabled.
