A number of Indonesians live in regional Australia. It is quiet compared to Indonesia but local Indonesian community groups like the Busselton Indonesia Community of Western Australia provide opportunities to mix, eat and celebrate important days. But the Southwest Indonesia Community does more than that.


Yati Winfield is the chairperson of the BVusselton Indonesia Community of Western Australia She describes to Sri Dean, the people of the Indonesian diaspora of the Margaret River-Busselton region and how their activities aim to engage people outside the Indonesian community.
