Mr. Suhana or Mr. Lim was born and raised in Jakarta, in the city's Chinatown area. Later in the 90s he moved to Melbourne and his main activity was in the field of Feng Shui.
In addition to this activity, since 2019 Mr. Lim founded a non-profit organization called WISE which aims to socialize all Chinese science and culture to the younger generation of this western society.

What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is a science for layout based on Chinese culture. But it is universal in nature that is applied to everyone. No restrictions on what religion, what ethnicity it is.
Feng Shui is based on patterns that have been formed over thousands of years, and it is these patterns that will serve as the basis for explaining this new year.
This concept is similar to the use of symbols in Javanese culture in Indonesia, which is also rich in symbolism.

In Feng Shui there are parts or branches of the sky and there are branches of the earth. Well, for the year 2025, this earth is symbolized by the snake and usually people only know the “year of the snake”.
However there is another element involved called yin wood or yin wood.
The snake is catagorised as an element of fire. So this year is the year of the snake with the element of yin wood.
For convenience, in English, it can be referred to as “green wood snake,” since the element of wood is identical to the color green.
The meaning of the Fengshui elements of the year of the Green Wooden Snake
Many people consider the snake to be a less good or negative symbol.
However, in the view of Chinese culture, snakes instead symbolize wisdom, strategy, prudence, and transformation.
In real life, we know that snakes can change their skin. It is not that “skin change” is negative, but rather discarding or replacing negative things in our lives, so it actually describes the process of introspection.
Thus, we can pave the way for good.
The motto or hallmark of this year of the snake is that we cannot rush.
We need to observe more and plan strategies carefully.

On the economic side, many people are worried that the economy will get tougher, and finding money is getting harder.
However, if we look at it from the perspective of the year of the snake, we can see things differently.
The snake, which symbolizes the element of fire, in relation to human feelings, is associated with joy, happiness and optimism. All these feelings are very important in the world of economics. If people are afraid and reluctant to spend money or do business, the economy will stagnate and everyone will be screwed.
However, based on patterns that have existed for hundreds and even thousands of years, when the element of fire appears, people tend to become more eager, optimistic, and brave to spend money or invest. This is certainly beneficial to economic activity.
As an overview, from the recently passed 2018 to 2024, we are in a phase dominated by water elements.
Water, in this case, has more to do with feelings of fear or worry. This was evident when the whole world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, where everyone was even afraid to go out of the house.
Currently, we are still in the elemental phase of water, which leads to caution. It is not surprising that many people begin to count more before spending money, because there is a fear that the money will run out or not enough.
However, with the coming of the year of the snake, we should be able to enjoy more and feel happy, because it is a good time to move forward.
Is there any meaning to the green wood?
Green wood, it refers to Yin wood.
This Yin wood in Chinese culture is interpreted as a flower, a symbol of beauty and art.
Therefore, things related to art and creativity will increasingly develop and gain attention.
Even creative ideas will come up more, and people's attitudes will be more open to compromise. If earlier people tended to be stubborn and reluctant to budge, this time there will be more flexibility.
These are the things that we should welcome with joy, as we enter a phase or time full of optimism and happiness, which will later dominate our lives.
