"I knew this violin existed, but didn't imagine that I would be the custodian," said Natsuko who has been named the next custodian of this 266 year old violin. She said that she absolutely loves the sound of the violin, she has always been looking for the sound this violin creates.
Natsuko began playing the violin when she was three. She moved to Dubai at the age of 9 and went on to study at prestigious violin school called Yehudi Menuhin School at the age of 11 and moved on to train at the Royal Northern College of Music in the UK. She has won a numerous awards around the world. She has been the concertmaster at Adelaide Symphony Orchestra since 2008.
She shares how she feels about this appointment of 'the Adelaide' violin.
