Both major parties announce plans to boost tradie numbers, but will it fix the housing shortage?

During the election campaign, both major parties have announced plans to boost tradie numbers in Australia to help increase the supply of new homes.

Builders welcome the move to fast-track tradie qualifications, but say there still won't be enough workers to build more than a million new homes that have been promised in the next five years without skilled labour from overseas.
