  • The Federal Government has announced a two-billion-dollar climate change package, dubbed the Climate Solutions fund. The fund will work with farmers, small businesses and remote Indigenous communities to reduce emissions.
  • A five-day inquest into the death of an Iranian refugee is underway in Brisbane. 24-year-old Omid Masoumali died in April 2016 after he doused himself in petrol and set himself on fire on Nauru.
