Queensland records no new local COVID-19 cases as Peter Dutton downplays vaccine rollout concerns

The federal defence minister says there is no need for panic about the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, as Australia is not in the same state of "mad panic" as the US and the UK to get it done.

Queensland has reported zero new local coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Deputy Premier Steven Miles said the state conducted 7,514 tests in the last 24 hours.
