The book explores a young Yazidi woman's struggles while she was held in captivity by IS.
Shelan Khodedah documented Hayam Bakkir's confronting 2014 ordeal, admitting that writing the book brought her to tears.
"There were a lot of tears and hurt when I wrote the book, and I encourage every Yezidi women to tell her story to the world," she told SBS Kurdish.
Ms Bakkir was held captive by IS for almost two years, during which she says she was deprived of food and access to basic hygiene such as showering.
"I suffered physically and psychologically when I was held captive by them," she said.
"They used to hit us and would not even let me bath my new born baby.
"Telling my story was not an easy one, the memories are hurtful. But I also, like Shelan, encourage all the girls and women who were captive to tell their story."
She said, "if we don't, no one would know what had happened to the Yezidis".
The book, 'The woman who escaped from ISIS hell', is the first to be documented in Australia, Ms Khodedah said.
The launch for the book will be held on Sunday, November 26, from 2pm to 4pm at Station Creative Workspace, Wagga Wagga.
