When Maja Stojcevski, a life coach for parents with special children, as she likes to call them, found out 6 years ago that her daughter Joana had a severe physical and mental disability, which meant she would probably never be able to walk or talk, all sorts of feelings and thoughts swirled in her head. But, 3 years after the first shock, Maja managed to find a blessing in her situation and now she is on a mission to do the same with every parent of a special child.

Maja has been living and working in Germany for five years. She left Macedonia in a search for better medical treatments for her daughter Joana, who died in November last year at the age of six.

After the first rush of loss, despair, hopelessness and anger, it took Maja 3 years to start accepting herself, to accept the situation in which she found herself and most importantly, to accept her daughter as she is, which started a new life, a life in which Joana became her blessing, not a burden.

Over the years and through her personal struggles, Maya has found that there are many parents of special children in the world who still feel trapped, sad and angry in their lives and because of them, she started working as a life coach for special parents.
