After being forced to get married at the age of 14, Maya Gurung ran away from her house a day before her wedding. Few years later she reached the "top of the world" by scaling Mount Everest. For Shailee Basnet though, it was different. Despite being supported by her family when growing up, she was never considered the "sporty" type. Both, Gurung and Basnet, have been able to prove their doubters wrong. They are part of a seven women Nepali team that has successfully scaled all seven mountains in seven continents, becoming the first female team in the world to do so. That was eight years ago. Now they have set their sights on a new challenge. Maya Gurung and Shailee Basnet spoke to SBS Nepali about their latest work.
