In 2013, member states at the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution defining July 30 as World Day Against Human Trafficking. The announcement was made to raise awareness about the plight of victims of human trafficking and to protect and promote their rights. This year, the Day against Human Trafficking was celebrated worldwide last Sunday with the slogan, "Reach every victim of trafficking, leave no one behind." SBS Nepali spoke to Madhu Regmi and Yuvraj Pokhel from Maiti Nepal, who is currently in Australia after receiving a scholarship from Charles Darwin University on the topic.
