Launching in August 2024, the Indigenous Story Bridge Climb is described as a first-of-its-kind adventure, led by First Nations storytellers.
In a conversation with NITV Radio, Birrunga Wirradyuri, founder and principal artist of the Birrunga Gallery situated in the heart of Meanjin (Brisbane) explained that beyond the climb itself, visitors will be able to delve further into Indigenous culture.
It's an awakening, a chance to see Brisbane through the eyes of its First Peoples.Birrunga Wirradyuri
This includes enjoying a delicious Indigenous food platter featuring native ingredients and participating in workshops offered by Birrunga Gallery, such as boomerang painting and discussions on the importance of place.
“The experience is more than just a bucket-list project,” Birrunga Wirradyuri says.
