A Spectacle Under the Stars: The 2024 Parrtjima Festival in Alice Springs is underway (12-21 April) boasting stunning new light installations alongside captivating art, music, and talks. Parrtjima's Director of Cultural Engagement, Paul Ah Chee, describes the 2024 festival's opening ceremony as the biggest yet. This free, 10-night event celebrates the importance of interconnectedness across First Nations cultures. It also features a marketplace showcasing local Indigenous art and performances by renowned artists.

Parrtjima’s unforgettable large-scale light installations includes the MacDonnell Ranges Light Show, which sees almost two kilometres of the 300-million-year-old MacDonnell Ranges come to life through a new, extended light and sound show, and the much-loved Grounded, which projects animated Indigenous art onto the red sands of Alice Springs Desert Park.
