Former NRL player, professional boxer and proud Wiradjuri and Wolgalu man Joe Williams is known for his tireless advocacy in mental health and suicide prevention. Now, he’s sharing a deeply personal side of his journey in the documentary SEEN.

In an interview with NITV Radio, Joe opened up about why he chose to be part of SEEN, which brings together the voices of real parents, families and leading experts in trauma and brain development.

SEEN delves into the often unspoken reality that many parents are raising children while still carrying unresolved pain from their own childhoods. The film offers not just storytelling, but a call to action, encouraging parents to reflect on how their past may be shaping their relationships with their kids today.

Joe bravely shares his own transformation as a father and throughout the interview, Joe also pays tribute to his own father.

SEEN is now making its way to audiences across the country sparking conversations, inspiring change, and most importantly, reminding parents that they are not alone.
