Today Afghans are heading to the polls to cast their votes for over two thousand candidates.


Despite security challenges, Afghans are heading to the polling station to cast their votes.

Security has been a major issue in the run-up to the Election Day.

More than 70,000 security forces are deployed to ensure the security of the voters.

The election has been delayed by a week in Kandahar following the assassination of the province’s police chief, General Abdul Raziq.
