Afghan women delegates are currently visiting Australia to participate in the 2nd annual people-to-people dialogue.


The dialogue is part of enhancing the relationship between the two countries.

The Afghan women delegates are meeting various government organization, councils, diaspora groups, and others.

Speaking with SBS Pashto Minister Counsellor of the Afghanistan Embassy in Canberra Ateeq Zaki said; Afghan women delegates have the opportunity to share their achievement and challenges with the stakeholders in Australia. He also said their trip to Australia would enhance the bilateral relations between the countries.

When asked about the Australian government’s role in the ongoing peace talks between Taliban and USA, Mr. Zaki said, and Australia like before is fully committed to the stability in Afghanistan, and it supports the ongoing peace process.
