Biosecurity officers to investigate alleged cruelty to horses at Queensland abbatoir

Racing Australia chief executive Barry O'Farrell says he was shocked by footage of retired racehorses being slaughtered.

Video obtained by the ABC showed abbatoir workers tormenting horses before they were killed.
