Varinder Alisher (Manmeet's cousin) was among the scores of people present outside the Brisbane Magistrate's Court on Monday, January 23, and he read out a list of eight "demands" on behalf of the community.
These "demands" seek answers to questions like:
1. What was the cause of Manmeet's death?
2. What substance was used in this brutal crime?
3. How did the accused manage to acqurie such a highly dangerous substance?
4. Who, if anyone, helped him and where did he get it from?

All sections of the community have rallied together from the very start, demanding 'Justice for Manmeet' and raising concerns that most of their questions still remain unanswered.
With the accused Anthony O'Donohue involuntarily undergoing mental health treatment and the case referred to the Mental Health Court, no further hearings are expected in the short term. It must be clarified that charges have not been dropped and the case has not been dismissed - it is following due legal process.
