Three people have been left injured in an explosion at a Sikh temple in the German city of Essen on Saturday evening.
The police say this was apparently deliberate as a masked person is reported to have fled the scene after the blast at 7 pm on Saturday.
A spokesman for the Essen police told the Associated Press that the explosion was "quite violent" blowing out several windows.
Police spokesman Lars Lindemann says the police are woking on the assumption that the explosion was deliberate but there are no indications that it was a "terrorist incident".
He says the temple had hosted a wedding earlier in the day and those injured are believed to have been among the guests.
