A $250,000 Maserati and a BMW were stolen from the family home of a real estate agent in Point Cook, in Melbourne’s west.
Kamal Bagga was asleep in his family home when thieves entered through an open window and stole keys of his wife’s BMW and his just four-month-old Maserati.
“It’s an expensive car, spent a lot of money.. [It’s] completely heartbreaking,” he told 7 News.
Mr Bagga woke up to the sound of his sports car starting in his garage at 3:20 on Sunday morning, but could only watch as thieves made away with his two luxury cars.
7 News reported that the Maserati was spotted in Melbourne’s north and police gave a chase but the thieves sped away. It was later found abandoned in Thornbury.
The BMW was also found abandoned in Laverton.
The incident has shaken the young family.
“I am still in a state of shock. The whole incident is flashing in front of my eyes.. We aren’t safe,” said Kamal’s wife Rachna.
Kamal said he feels unsafe leaving his home after this incident.
“It’s terrifying because if now I have to leave my family home for work, I can’t go. I feel completely unsafe,” said Kamal.
