Emergency services were called a little after 10 pm on Tuesday night. Four people were assessed at the scene and three injured workers were taken to Westmead Hospital with burn injuries, Fairfax Media reported.

According to NSW Fire Rescue Commander Adam Dewberry, the workers had received minor burns to their arms and legs.

The Hazmat team was called to ventilate the restaurant due to concerns about a toxic flammable gas, but damage to the restaurant was minimal, Commander Dewberry said.
