ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਗੌਲਫ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਆਦਿਲ ਬੇਦੀ ਅੱਜਕੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੌਰੇ ਤੇ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੋਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟਾਂ ਚ' ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਪੌਂਸਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਕਾਰੁਗਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਲਦਿਆਂ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 'ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਆਨਰ' ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜ਼ਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
Aadil Bedi nurtures the dream of being a world class Golf Professional, a dream which is not far from reality.
The Chandigarh-based 16 years old golfer has won 165 medals and trophies so far in as many as 275 national and international tournaments.
Aadil is currently visiting Australia to participate in four different Amateur world class elite events, which are scheduled in January 2018.
Aadil told SBS Punjabi that he is excited to be part of team India which is to be announced in mid-January 2018.
“It gives me immense pleasure to play for the nation. I aim to put India on top of the golfing world,” said Aadil.
“I am very excited to play in Australia. These events will give me much needed international exposure."Aadil is currently playing at the Australian Master of Champion at Royal Melbourne golf course, which is scheduled from 9-12 January 2018.

The Australian Master of the Amateurs is the highest ranked Category A golf event in Australia.
Following this competition, he will be competing at the Australian Amateur at Lake Kerrinyup and Wanneroo Golf Club from 14-21 January 2018.
Aadil also aims to finish in the top charts at the Victoria Junior Masters at the Churchill and Waverly Park Golf Club, Melbourne from January 22-25.
Aadil’s father Harry Bedi who is also his manager told SBS that he is keen to see his performance in the upcoming tournaments.
“India is a cricket playing nation. To play golf and then get recognised is very challenging. I am glad Aadil has proved himself to shine in sports despite these odds.”
“We are here to play and prove our capacity. The main aim is to attend as many international events to grab World Amateur Golf Ranking points.
“This will eventually help Aadil qualify for the Youth Olympic Games in August 2018.”Apart from playing in India, he has competed in Australia, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Dubai, Canada, Thailand, England and United States of America.

He is holding at 800th position in WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) and 9th in IGU men’s Division national merit of 2018.
Aadil was recently selected by Virat Kohli Foundation for National Sports Award “INDIAN SPORTS HONOUR” as a young budding golfer of the year.
He was among seven other sportspersons who were given this honour in a star-studded mega event in Nov 2017.His selection was based upon his outstanding performance at the international championships held in Singapore, USA and Thailand.

In May 2017, he won SSG BLR International Championship held at Singapore in May 2017.
In July 2017, he claimed the title of World Star of Junior championship at Las Vegas, USA.
Just at a tender age of 16, he is on his way to become a legendary golf champion like Tiger Woods.
He is a role model for many youngsters who wish to shine in the field of sports especially golf.
