Recently, a biography book was published on her life titled “TASMIDA: The Journey of a Rohingya Girl (Twice Displaced). She is also a recipient of DAFI scholarship. Besides her studies, she co-run a YouTube Channel for Rohingya children where she teaches English language through interesting video animations. She has also been actively engaged in community development especially women and youth empowerment.

23 years old Tasmida is the first Rohingya refugee women to pursue higher studies in India. She was born in Rakhine state of Myanmar and had to flee her motherland when she was only 7 years old. Her thriving journey was featured by many national and international press and institution including UNHCR.
