In memory of Arkady Arkanov ( June 7, 1933 — March 22, 2015) The famous Russian-Soviet satirist, playwright, screen- and the songwriter and even actor Arkady Arkanov visited Australia several times. He was always well received by audience and his studio interviews were interesting and very engaging. Unfortunately, no interviews with Arkady Arkanov survived, however, there was another recording. During one of his visits, in 2002, we taped Arkady Arkanov reading three of his stories which we produced and later aired several times. And as often with Arkanov, they are far from just funny stories, in fact, they quite sad and philosophical miniatures.
