There are more than 3,000 scam or fraudulent websites on the internet, which means a higher chance of getting scammed when you are doing Christmas shopping online.

According to Michael McNamara of Australia Post, one in five Australians will fall victim to a scam during the sales periods of Black Friday and the Christmas shopping rush.

The warning from Danielle Grant of PayPal Australia is;
- avoid clicking on any unknown messages that have a sale link,
- check if the website has an 'about us' page,
- check for any grammatical errors,
- slow down, don't be trigger happy.

You really don't want to unwrap a scam as a Christmas present.
