Humanity remains at its closest to global catastrophe.


That's the assessment of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, who have met to discuss at what point their "Doomsday Clock", a symbolic countdown to the end of humanity, should be set for 2024.

At last year's adjustment, there were only 90 seconds remaining.
