Germany, which chairs the G-7 this year, has released a statement confirming the cap, though it does not specify where the limit will be set or when it will be enforced.
2. Russia says a major gas pipeline to Europe won't reopen as planned, further deepening the continent's energy crisis.
The Nord Stream 1 pipeline had been due to resume operating after a three-day closure for maintenance on Wednesday.
But state-controlled firm Gazprom now claims it's discovered a fault in the pipeline, which runs under the Baltic Sea to supply Germany and others.
3. The head of the world's nuclear watchdog says an inspection of Europe's biggest power plant in Ukraine has found the facility's physical integrity has been violated by military activity.
The team from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been inspecting the Zaporizhzhia plant amid concerns of a nuclear disaster following continued shelling around the facility as part of the Ukraine-Russia war.
