In a video posted from the Tik-Toker's account, Adil Raajput's wife, Farah, shares the news that her husband died in an ‘accident.’

“Adil is gone,” she says, crying in a video on the TikTok app.

“I got a call from Adnan (husband’s brother); Adil (husband) had an accident and is no more in this world.”

“O God! Why did it happen to me?”
The news of the death of the local influencer was covered by the local media, with fans sharing the message of condolences to the family.

"I am really for your loss. Hope Allah have mercy on his soul and he goes to Heaven," said one social media user.
But later, when friends and family visited the house of the Tik-Tok family, they found Adil to be alive at home.

Farah Adil then shared another video claiming that it was a mistake from his husband’s brother that Adil was dead, but in fact, it wasn’t the case.

“I don’t understand why people are reacting to such a thing? Adnan told me on the phone that my husband was not conscious, he is young and got confused. He didn't come back for four hours, so naturally, it was confusing."
The news of the death and then a quick rebuttal quickly angered the local influencer's fans, some saying the only purpose of the videos was to 'increase their followers'.

"This way of getting fame is not at all appropriate, don't make fun of relations to become famous," says Rida Fatima on Twitter.

"How can someone be so desperate for a few followers and likes?" asks Mahnoor Qureshi.
Tik-Tok has become one of the most used apps in Pakistan and many users belong to the middle to lower-income class to earn money.

There have also been calls to for sharing “inappropriate” videos contrary to the country's conservative social norms.
