Son's emotional letter after late Abdul Qadir's induction into Cricket's Hall of Fame

Pakistan's spin bowling legend, the late Abdul Qadir, has become the country's seventh inductee into the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Hall of Fame. He joins the prestigious list of cricketers from all over the world. Qadir's son Usman is currently in Australia as a reserve member of the Pakistani T20WC2022 squad. Speaking to SBS Urdu, Usman shared his thoughts about his late father joining the prestigious list of cricketers worldwide.

Following the ICC Hall of Fame announcement on 8 November 2022, close family members and friends have written open letters to the inductees. Usman Qadir has done the same for his father Abdul.

I am so proud you are being inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. It is a huge honour and an incredible achievement, and my only regret is that you are not still with us to accept this award.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) made the latest announcement to include additional names to the prestigious list of cricketing greats that make up the ICC Hall of Fame.

Following a voting process, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Charlotte Edwards and Abdul Qadir become inductees number 107, 108 and 109, respectively.
