Queensland Police arrested a suspect in the shooting of a Muslim youth, but found no hate motive. The 20-year-old in Underwood, Brisbane, was allegedly shot by a passing vehicle, and police are investigating the possible motives behind the attack.

The Australian Muslim Advocacy Network (AMAN) and the Islamic Council of Queensland have expressed concerns over the attack's timing. They suggest it may be linked to hate or far-right extremism, given its occurrence during Ramadan and the Christchurch anniversary.
Queensland Police have arrested a 23-year-old Kingston resident, charging him with three counts of grievous bodily harm. Muslim organisations question whether the attack was influenced by Islamophobia or far-right ideology, considering its timing on a significant day.
