Ilm Festival organising an arts festival where we will be creating a platform for Muslims from various cultural and artistic backgrounds to showcase their talents and works. Kauthar AbdulAlim is event organizer and film maker. Her formal journey in films started in 2012 when she undertook a documentary filmmaking course at Open Channel in Melbourne. Since then she has made a short film titled ‘Found’, a story of an Australian Muslim woman who becomes a victim of an Islamophobiac attack in Melbourne as the Sydney Siege crises unfold. This year’s festival is themed ‘Mind Games’ that will address how young multicultural Muslim community of Australia got a talent. Event will promote hope, a sense of identity and social harmony and cohesion.Festival has a range of activities including the search for the next talented Muslim youth.
