Vandals have scrawled homophobic slurs on the campaign posters of an openly gay candidate for the blue ribbon Liberal seat of Higgins in Melbourne.
Greens candidate Jason Ball has posted on social media photos of his corflutes with the word "fag" written across them.
He said he didn't want to give the haters oxygen but would not be passive or silent in the face of bigotry, the Herald Sun reported on Friday.
