At least 60 people have died in a head-on collision between two passenger buses on a highway in Ghana.
Kintampo Municipal Fire Commander Ankomah Twene says it took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the resulting blaze.
Several survivors from the crash, which took place in Ampoma town in Ghana's Bono East Region on Friday, were transported to nearby hospitals. The cause of the crash was not yet known.
Serious road accidents occur often Ghana, as well as other African countries, often due to high speeds, technical problems with vehicles and poor road conditions.
