Australia's Eurovision Song Contest entrant Dami Im has sung her song Sound of Silence hundreds of times and is tipped to do well when she performs it again this week in Stockholm.
The 27-year-old Brisbane-based singer has been rehearsing in the Swedish capital and feeling the love of koala-waving Aussie fans as she prepares for her semi-final performance on Thursday night.
She hopes it will propel her to Saturday night's final which is expected to attract a global audience of around 200 million.
Judging by online bookmakers, Im looks likely to make it through as one of the top five entries, with one poll putting her as favourite to win her semi-final.
But the 2013 X Factor winner admits to feeling anxious in the midst of such a large event in which 42 nations are competing.
"I feel I've come such a long way as an artist and also as a person, becoming a little bit more confident and mature, even since X Factor," she told AAP on Monday.
"But I still feel a lot of anxiety here because of how big this all is."
Russia's Sergey Lazarev is leading the polling with his song You Are The Only One.
"Everybody seems to love Russia," Im says. "I think his production is really, really amazing."
She says the French and Spanish entries also have strong songs and performances.
Im says she's lost track of how many times she's sung Sound of Silence - a power ballad created by Sydney-based songwriting company DNA Songs - but it would be at least a few hundred.
"Which is good, I won't forget the words on stage," she says.
"As we're getting closer to the real performances I just feel like I really want to do well, I want to make all the people in Australia really proud.
"I think in this you can't really be sure of anything, the results are always quite unexpected but hopefully I'll get into the final."
Im says Stockholm has put on good weather for visiting Eurovision fans.
"I feel like the whole city is bubbling with so much excitement and everyone seems to be just living around Eurovision. It's good to be amongst it.
"I had a fan waving at me with a koala soft toy, saying `I flew over for you', so I felt very loved," Im says.
She is Australia's second entrant in Eurovision after Australia was given a wildcard spot last year, with entrant Guy Sebastian coming fifth with his song Tonight Again.
