Is there anyone in the world who doesn't love Eddie Woo?
Australia's most famous math teacher has inspired a whole new generation of teachers in Uganda on a recent trip with the School for Life Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation working in rural Uganda.
Mr Woo rose to fame in 2012 after recording and uploading math lessons to YouTube to ensure one of his students struggling with a serious illness didn't fall behind.

The student wasn't the only one who tuned in - with the large viewership inspiring the Sydney teacher to create his own , which has more than 530,000 subscribers worldwide.
Mr Woo met School for Life founding director Annabelle Chauncy at a University of Sydney alumni awards dinner, where Ms Chauncy was celebrated for building and operating community schools.
“By the end of the awards night I think I already had him booked on a plane to come over to Uganda,” .
Mr Woo headed over to host professional development sessions for teachers at the school and was soon a hit with the students as well.

“The teachers were just lapping up the time they spent with Eddie,” Ms Chauncy said.
“And the kids loved him – they were calling him Eddie Whoa!”
The 17-hectare School for Life property is about a 90-minute drive from Uganda's capital Kampala.
Mr Woo said he spent his days one-fifth observing a teacher and four-fifths running
classes with teachers watching him.
“The thing is, I spent four years at university studying learning theory," he said.
"They’ve had nothing even close to that.”
