British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will tell French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel that the British parliament cannot stop Brexit, The Sunday Telegraph newspaper reports.

"This week, Mr Johnson will travel to Germany and France to insist to Emmanuel Macron, the French president, and Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, that Parliament cannot stop Brexit," the newspaper said.

"Johnson is expected to tell them that they have two months to agree a deal acceptable to the cabinet and parliament, without which the UK will exit without an agreement on Halloween," the paper said.

The talks will be held just a week out from the G7 meeting in Biarritz where diplomats expect Mr Johnson to face a frosty reception.

A leaked document from the German government suggests the UK leader's insistence on Brexit being delivered on 31 October - with or without a deal - has so far failed to prompt any major geopolitical rethink in Brussels or the European capitals.
