Brisbane will pay tribute to Australian boxer Jeff Horn's stunning win over Manny Pacquiao with a tickertape parade and a keys to the city presentation this week.

The Brisbane school teacher turned boxer claimed the world welterweight title from Manny Pacquiao in front of more than 52,000 people at Suncorp stadium on Sunday.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk says a tickertape parade will wind down Queen Street Mall in Brisbane's CBD at noon on Thursday.

The suburban Brisbane boy will be handed the keys to the city when the parade pulls in to Redacliff Place in the heart of his hometown.

Rumours of a rematch are already circulating with Horn and Pacquiao saying they would face each other in the ring again.
