The 76-year-old on Wednesday faced Victoria's County Court where he will stand trial on multiple charges, the details of which cannot be revealed for legal reasons.
During a brief hearing, Judge Sue Pullen adjourned the matter to May 16 for a further mention.

Australia's most senior Catholic was on Tuesday ordered by a magistrate to stand trial on some charges while others were struck out.
Pell formally pleaded not guilty to the remaining charges.
The Holy See overnight on Tuesday noted the court's decision and extended Pell's leave of absence so he can "defend himself from the accusations".
