It was just after midnight when Eurydice Dixon died.
A stranger who liked rape porn and "emo girls" attacked her to realise a disturbing fantasy as she walked home through a Melbourne park.
The aspiring 22-year-old comedian was known for ditching her shoes and socks to enjoy the soft grass soccer pitches beneath her feet on her regular route through Princes Park.
She sent a text to her boyfriend: "I'm nearly home. HBU?"
She didn't realise 19-year-old Jaymes Todd, whose records show a history of internet searches for rape and snuff porn, strangulation porn and "emo girls", had been following her for almost an hour.
Todd has since been diagnosed with sexual sadism disorder and had fantasised about violent non-consensual sex culminating in a woman's death.
Now 20, for a pre-sentence plea hearing, where details of the June 2018 murder were aired for the first time.

Todd, who has autism and ADHD, spotted Ms Dixon at Flinders Street Station after he'd spent the afternoon drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis. He then stalked her for five kilometres.
Ms Dixon had performed a gig at the Highlander Bar and was walking home where she lived with her father and brother - her mother had died when she was seven.
As she crossed the soccer pitches, Todd grabbed her from behind by her hair and dress, knocking her to the ground.
Leaving Ms Dixon in the park, Todd scrolled through her mobile phone for 10 minutes, using the camera to examine the scratches on his face before falling asleep on a bench at Royal Park station.
At 2.50am on 13 June, a passer-by found Ms Dixon's cold body, called triple zero and attempted CPR.
Todd claims he later walked back through the park, where police directed him away from the crime scene.

At home that day, Todd searched the internet for rape porn and stories about Ms Dixon, before handing himself into police when friends told him his "face was all over the news".
He initially denied being Ms Dixon's killer but later admitted "I did it", officially pleading guilty to murder, rape, attempted rape and sexual assault in November.
Ms Dixon's sister Polly Cotton told the court she hated that her sibling's death was "gossip".

"She was gutsy and determined and clever, and when I think of her I feel proud and I feel inspired, and in this way, I am surviving," she said.
The comedian's boyfriend Tony Magnuson said he would "never look at the human race the same way again".
Defence barrister Tim Marsh said Todd was sexually attracted to Ms Dixon, fitting a certain look he found appealing but argued the Broadmeadows man didn't plan to murder her until the attack.
Forensic psychiatrist David Thomas said Todd had reduced the ability to consider the consequences of following through with his "overwhelming urge" of non-consensual sex finishing with a death.
But he couldn't say whether Todd intended to complete the fantasy or stop at the sexual assault.
The hearing before Justice Stephen Kaye continues on Friday.
