At the centre of the case is what is known as the kafala system, which binds workers to their employers in ways that have been likened to forced labour.

Qatar has said it is abolishing the practice.

The plaintiff is a Bangladeshi migrant worker, and FIFA has been summoned to appear in court in Switzerland, where FIFA is headquartered.

Kristina Kukolja asks one of the lawyers leading the case, Liesbeth Zegveld, what they're hoping to achieve.
