Rising sea levels will put parts of Sydney and other cities under water and the effects will be worse without strong action on climate change, these pictures show.

have produced these interactive frames, showing the projected effects on sea levels of 4°C and 2°C global warming.

A global climate change meeting in Paris this December will  over pre-Industrial Revolution levels, which is widely believed to be the threshold to avoid catastrophic effects of climate change.

The world is , and some warming is already locked in.

Many countries, including Australia, have already submitted their pledged climate abatement targets.
