The key parts of the SA budget revealed so far by the state government

SA BUDGET DETAILS REVEALED SO FAR:

* A $1.1 billion for regional road projects to tackle the rising road toll. $440 million will be included across the forward estimates with the rest to come in future years.

* $252 million allocated for preparation and planning works for the final 10kms of Adelaide's north-south road corridor. The project will cost more than $5 billion with the cost to be shared with the commonwealth.

* $200 million to remove large railway crossings in Adelaide to relieve congestion.

* $52 million to combat coastal erosion including a sand recycling pipeline from West Beach to Semaphore.

* $43 million for tourism marketing.

* A raft of fees and charges to rise, most by five per cent but some, including fines for motorists caught more than 30km/h over the limit to be hit by much higher penalties.

* Liquor licence to be increased with those for small bar owners to more than triple.

* The budget will also be hit by $500 million fall in GST returns over the coming year.
