It was the moment two nominees from the Logies buried the hatchet - or did they?
Hard Quiz host Tom Gleeson has run a comedic smear campaign against his fellow nominees for the 61st Gold Logie Award, in his shameless campaign to derail the battle for the Gold Logie.
Fellow nominee Amanda Keller threatened to blow her nose on Gleeson's tuxedo jacket if he won.
"No, we've actually pashed and made up," she joked.
"I am a fan of Tom's and I thought it was funny actually, I don't mind him dissing us but I thought it was a shame that the Logies got dissed," Keller told AAP.
"The Logies aren't silly, they are the awards that we have and I don't think it pays to be cynical about it."
The cheeky comedian joined the popular star on the red carpet, insisting the fight was very real.
"No no, we're still feuding, Look at us, we hate each other," Gleeson said.
"If Amanda wins, I am going to flip over the chair and pull the table cloth down, run on stage and ruin the whole thing."
Others on the red carpet weren't quite so forgiving of Gleeson's antics.
Last year's Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer was fired up about the man credited with helping him win last year's top prize.
"Tom Gleeson has run a rather aggressive campaign, an angry campaign this year, he's taken shots at everyone, including my Gold Logie win last year," Denyer told AAP.
"I'm not a massive fan. It is our only institution, it's the only game in town for TV and while it's not that important to everyone it's important to me.
"It was the most magical experience of my professional life winning it last year."
Last year's frontrunner for the Gold Logie Tracey Grimshaw also wasn't impressed hoping this year's winner would appreciate the prize.
"There have been some exemplary people in television who have won the Gold Logie over the years and I would like to see that tradition continue and I would like it to mean something to the person that wins it," Grimshaw said.
Gleeson is the favourite to win this year just ahead of Ten Network's Amanda Keller.
The two front runners are followed by ABC gardening guru Costa Georgiadis, Neighbours favourite Eve Morey, Nine Network's Rodger Corser, Sam Mac from Sunrise and Waleed Aly from The Project.
After nearly a seven-month hiatus Karl Stefanovic was back in action at the awards, saying his hosting gig on Nine Network's This Time Next Year had helped him put his life in perspective.
"I really needed the time off and I am ready and raring to go," Stefanovic told AAP.
There was plenty of colour and glitz with sequins and ruffles dominating the red carpet.
Keller sparkled in silver, but in a break from tradition, she scrapped the sky-high heels for bejewelled sneakers.
Sophie Monk donned a dramatic gold lame frock, declaring on Instagram that "if you can't win a Gold Logie ... dress as one."
Carrie Bickmore stunned in a red ball gown on her return from maternity leave, while Nine journalist Leila McKinnon also chose red, albeit with a more daring thigh-high split.
Olympia Valance also went thigh high, as did Sonia Kruger.
Red was also the hue of choice for The Voice judge Guy Sebastian.
He wasn't the only bloke to put his own spin on the traditional tux.
Gold Logie nominee, ABC gardening guru, Costa Georgiadis adorned he op shop suit his with in-season flowers.
The 61st Annual Logie Awards are being held at The Star on the Gold Coast for the second time after moving from Melbourne last year.
