The man accused of raping then-Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins in a federal minister's office is set to stand trial after pleading not guilty.
Bruce Lehrmann is charged with sexual intercourse without consent at Parliament House on 23 March, 2019.
Acting for Mr Lehrmann, Warwick Korn told the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday he was instructed to enter a plea of not guilty.
ACT Director of Public Prosecutions Shane Drumgold SC asked for a four-week adjournment.
The case is due to return to court on 14 October.
Mr Lehrmann is then expected to be committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
Ms Higgins went public in February alleging a then-unnamed colleague raped her in the office of Senator Linda Reynolds.
Mr Lehrmann is currently in Queensland and did not appear in court on the video link.
