Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle won't return to work until an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour is complete.
He stood down on December 17 after fellow City of Melbourne councillor Tessa Sullivan claimed he sexually harassed her, leading the council to hire top lawyer Ian Freckleton QC to investigate the allegations.
A spokeswoman for Mr Doyle on Friday said he originally planned to return to work after a month to give the investigation time to run its course. However, given it is still going he will remain on leave.
