She may be dreaming of a White (House) Christmas, but Melania Trump’s personally-selected holiday decor for the official residence has been mocked on Twitter.

This year's decorative theme, revealed on Monday, is 'Time-Honored Traditions'. It was designed by the First Lady herself and put together with the help of 150 volunteers.

The theme was chosen to pay respect to 200 years of holiday traditions at the White House, but social media users have called it “creepy”, “terrifying” and “a cry for help”.
Some of the rooms were decorated with traditional notes of green and red, but Twitter users pounced on others which had a much more icy look.
Some pondered whether Ms Trump was subliminally sending an SOS to the world:
"The President, Barron, and I are very excited for our first Christmas in the White House," Ms Trump said in a statement.
