The associate of a TV producer accused of raping a woman alongside a Chinese movie star at a luxury Sydney hotel has denied trying to bribe the alleged victim.
Si Qi Li told the Downing Centre District Court on Wednesday that she had not been attempting to pay off the woman when she asked her the following day if there were "other ways to settle this thing".
, both 37, have pleaded not guilty to raping the woman at the Shangri La Hotel following the wrap party for a TV series filmed in Australia.
Film and TV star Gao has often been referred to as "China's Hugh Jackman".
The court heard from the defence's final witnesses of Wednesday, with the trial expected to conclude with closing arguments from both sides over the coming week.

The pair argued the woman willingly engaged in sex with them after several hours of partying in March 2018.
The alleged victim made a complaint to the police the following day before attending a party for the Australian-based cast and crew alongside her husband at the Blue Angel Restaurant.
Ms Li, who worked for Mr Wang's production company, said she pulled the alleged victim aside at the Darlinghurst restaurant and told her the allegations could make "quite a lot of trouble" for the show's crew, Gao and his family and she needed to know the truth.
Ms Li said the alleged victim said: "I cannot tell you what happened because of my family."
"I also asked her if there were other ways to settle this thing. She said 'I don't need money, I have enough of it'."
Crown prosecutor Sean Hughes argued Ms Li knew the allegations would be a "public relations disaster" and she had been attempting to put pressure on her.
"You knew you were making suggestion that money could pass hands," Mr Hughes said.

"I didn't think of it that way because I didn't know what happened. I had no way of dealing with it," Ms Li said.
When pressed on how she was proposing to solve the problem, she said: "No ways at all, that's why I asked her."
