Soccer matches at the 2024 Olympics will be played in eight different cities across France if Paris wins its bid to host the Games.
The Paris bid committee announced on Friday its pre-selection of nine cities that could host Olympic soccer: Paris, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.
This will drop to eight cities in the event of a winning bid, including Paris' Parc des Princes stadium.
A total of 58 matches will be played in the men's and women's tournaments, with both finals to be held in Paris.
Paris is competing with Budapest, Rome and Los Angeles for the Games.
The International Olympic Committee will choose the host city next September.
