Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has dismissed suggestions Nationals MP Keith Pitt has threatened to quit the frontbench over the government's signature energy plan.
Rebel MPs including former prime minister Tony Abbott have urged ministers to quit over their opposition to the policy, The Australian reports, with Mr Pitt weighing up resigning.
"I'm not going to comment on any discussions with other colleagues but I can say no member of my ministry has indicated to me that they were planning to or would want to resign," Mr Turnbull told reporters in Canberra on Thursday.
The policy was ticked off by the coalition party room on Tuesday, despite opposition from some backbenchers.
Mr Pitt returned to a junior ministerial position in March after being dumped in a reshuffle late last year.
After his demotion in December, the Queensland MP indicated he may go to the crossbenches but eventually stuck with the Nationals.
