Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is in Melbourne to deliver the keynote speech at the Economic and Social Outlook Conference.
The two-day conference is this year focusing on forging new policy directions among global political volatility, weak productivity and rising inequality.
Mr Turnbull will give the Thursday lunch address at the conference in Melbourne's Grand Hyatt.
Social Services Minister Christian Porter, Environment and Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg and Treasurer Scott Morrison and Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen will also speak on Thursday.
On Friday, Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop, will speak at a session called President Trump and Asia and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten will deliver the lunch address.
